My Story
Hi, I’m Emilly Judge, a registered nurse and board-certified nurse coach- and the founder of Soul Caregiver Collective. My journey to becoming a health and lifestyle coach is deeply personal, born from both love and loss, and fueled by a passion to help others navigate the challenges of caregiving and healthcare.
In 2022, my life took a profound turn when my mother, also a dedicated nurse, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and paraneoplastic syndrome- at just 59 years old. As her sole caregiver, I had a front-row seat to the realities of illness and the power of lifestyle choices in shaping our health and wellness. Watching my mother battle this illness illuminated the critical role of holistic care—mind, body, and spirit. Her strength and grace during this journey inspired me, but her passing in December of 2022 left a void I couldn’t ignore.
Returning to the hospital after her passing, I expected to find solace in the work I had always loved. Instead, I found myself struggling with compassion fatigue and burnout, feeling disconnected from the purpose that once drove me. I realized I wasn’t alone—so many of my colleagues were also grappling with the emotional toll of caregiving, both professionally and personally.
That’s when the seed for Soul Caregiver Collective was planted. I knew there had to be a way to help healthcare professionals—especially nurses—rediscover their resilience, nurture their passion, and build lives that truly fulfill them. My experience as a nurse, a caregiver, and now a coach gives me a unique perspective on the challenges of balancing self-care with serving others. Through 1:1 coaching, I now guide nurses to combat burnout, prioritize their well-being, and craft careers that align with their values. I help them reconnect with their "why," equipping them with tools to face the complexities of healthcare with renewed energy and purpose.
